Lyf F1 device comes with a 5.5 inch FHD (1080*1920 pixel)  IPS display with 400PPI pixel density.  The device is very light weight weighing just 153gms which makes it easy and comfortable to carry in the pocket. It is very thin device with the thickness of 7.9mm.

Talking about the design, at the rear there is a primary camera along with the flash. On the left side there is a SIM card tray while on the right we have volume button and power button. The plastic rear panel gives firm holding so that the device should not fall off from the hand. Overall the device is Slim and comfortable to carry.

Lyf Water F1 performance

The Lyf F1 is powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. The device is equipped with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal-storage which is expandable upto 128GB via MicroSD card. Till now I didn’t find any lagging issues. The performance was smooth and the games like Asphalt 8 and NFS didn’t lag at all.

Though the phone does heat up little but that can be ignored since most of the devices heat up while running heavy applications. The performance of the device is above the level than we expected. Lyf F1 runs on 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with no upgrade possibility. The device scored 43832 in AnTuTu benchmark test.

This device has gesture feature which is cool. You can just start any application using gesture. You can define your own gesture for the applications. Just go to settings  -> manage gesture. There is another amazing feature in this device called “Smart video”, wherein the video automatically pauses when you move your head. The front camera tracks your head movements and works accordingly.

Final Verdict

This phone is packed with lots of features as compared to the price. Currently the device is available for Rs.9,499 on Jio and For Rs.8,099 on Flipkart. The absence of fingerprint sensor is the only thing that will held you back from buying it. With the competition of Xiaomi Redmi smartphones and Coolpad devices, Lyf F1 is another option for the budget 4G device.
