At the event at CES 2016 on Tuesday, HP announced its collaboration with HTC for virtual reality (VR) ready desktop PC, the HP ENVY Phoenix. The Desktop aims at the Gamers. The Desktop is available on January 16, 2016 at starting price of $1,699.99 while the Vive by HTC will be sold separately.
“As virtual reality becomes the next wave of innovation for gaming, customers need a desktop PC specifically configured with quality, performance and computing power to enable the experience,” said Kevin Frost, vice president and general manager, consumer personal systems, HP Inc.
HP ENVY Phoenix is powered by HTC’s new VR system,Vive. Vive features room scale tracking capabilities, combined with photosensors on the headset and controllers, to track a user’s movement within a 3D space. Together, the Vive by HTC and HP’s VR-ready Envy Phoenix will provide great experience for Gamers.
HP ENVY Phoenix is powered by 6th generation Intel Core i7 K processor combined with NIVIDIA GTX 980Ti or AMD R9 390x GPU. It features overclocking functionality to boost performance of the desktop. Desktop comes with hassle-free liquid cooling system and support upto 4 monitors.
HP ENVY Phoenix comes with 2TB hard drive. Every VR bundle comes with 2-year technical support.
