Twitter replaces Favourites with Likes

On Tuesday Twitter replaces its  ‘ Favourite ‘ button for posts with ‘Like’ button. An online social networking service said in blog post that ‘We are changing our star icon for favourites to a heart and we’ll be calling them likes. We want to make it easier and more rewarding to use, and we know that at times the star could be confusing, especially to newcomers. You might like a lot of things, but not everything can be your favourite’.

Though Many of the users don’t like the new idea of replacing favourite button with like. The users express their views in reply to the twitter’s new decision.

company also said that You’ve embraced hearts in a big way on Periscope, and we’re delighted to bring them to Twitter and Vine, making them the common language for our global community. you’ll see hearts on app for iOS and Android, Windows 10, TweetDeck and on Tweets across the Internet, as well as on the Vine Android app and website.
