Meet ArcaBoard – One of the First Real Hoverboard

We all have seen hoverboard in one of the all time trending android game Subway surfer. And we all fell in love with it. Creating real hoverboard is not an easy task. New Mexico based aero space company Arca has invented the real world hoverboard named ArcaBoard. It is priced at $19,900.

In 2015 film, Back to the future II we have seen Michael fox riding on hoverboard, But it was fictional. 36 high power electric ducted fans with a maximum thrust of 200 kgf (430 lbs) lifts the ArcaBoard. Arcaboard features built-in stabilisation allowing you to fly in any conditions.



90% of the ArcaBoard space is occupied by Electric Ducted Fans (EDF), controllers and batteries which generates lots of heat. 36 power fans keeps the system cooler. One the highlighted feature of ArcaBoard is that, you can disable stabilisation and operate the hoverboard with the help of body.

ArcaBoard requires 6 hours for full charging and can last 6 minutes. ArcaBoard can lift weight upto 110 kg (243 lbs). You can also operate the ArcaBoard with iOS and Android smartphone. The ArcaBoard also provides docking station which can charge in 35 min.

The ArcaBoard is available in Being, Blue and Green color. ArcaBoard comes in two ranges : Enhanced thrust version with upto 3 min endurance time and long endurance with 6 min endurance time.
