After the big launch event in China last month, Xiaomi launched the newly launched flagship device Mi 5 in India. Currently only one variant of the smartphone is announced in India. It will cost Rs. 24,999 and will be sold via flash sale from April 6 via Mi.com.
3GB RAM and 32GB ROM variant will be available for Indian users while company not mentioned about the higher variants availability. Also company shown white color model on company site though the smartphone is available in three different colours. Xiaomi launched Mi 5 after so much rumours and anticipation.
Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with 3-D curved glass body and aluminium alloy frame. It features 5.15- inch FHD (1920×1080) display with 428 PPI pixel density. It is powered by Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset clicked at 1.8GHz with Adreno 530 GPU. The 3GB LPDDR4 RAM comes with dual-channel and the ROM is UFS2.0 which is faster than standard ROM.
Mi 5 comes with 16MP 4-axis OSI camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone flash. The 4MP front shooter comes with 80-degree wife angle lens. The device is backed by 3000 mAh battery which USB type C port and Quick Charge 3.0 technology. It runs on latest Android Marshmallow OS. Just like Mi 4, it also comes with infrared sensor.
Dual-sim Mi 5 supports 4G VoLTE network. Handset comes with the connectivity options such as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Display, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, Bluebooth HID and NFC. As mentioned earlier Mi 5 also launched in 3GB RAM, 64GB ROM and 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
Earlier this week Xiaomi launched Redmi 3 pro handset in China and starting this month launched Redmi note 3 in India.
