Just before the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Korean Electronic Giant LG announced the new LG X Series mid-range smartphones. The new X Series will include the X Cam and X Screen smartphones. The Series will make debut during MWC event later in next week.
“Everyone has a favourite smartphone feature, At LG, we think there’s room for devices that do one thing very well and that customers shouldn’t have to pay for features that they don’t want. At the end of the day, we’re committed to offering consumers more choices.” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications
LG X Cam
LG X Cam features 5.2-inch FHD display. It is powered by 1.14 GHz Octa-Core chipset coupled with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB built-in memory. Company has not specified the memory card support. Smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
X Cam sports 13MP and 5MP dual rear camera along with 8MP front-facing camera. It is backed by 2,520 mAh battery. Smartphone supports LTE network. LG X Cam will come in Titan Silver, White, Gold, Pink Gold color option
LG X Screen
LG X Screen features 4.93-inch HD display. Notably it also comes with 1.76 inch “Always-on” Second Screen which is available in LG V10 smartphone. It is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad-Core combined with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. LG X Screen will also run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
X Screen is equipped with 13MP rear camera and 8MP front shooter. Device is powered by 2,300 mAh battery and supports LTE network. Smartphone will be available in Black, White, Pink Gold color option.
LG also announced that the smartphone will be showcased at LG’s booth in Hall 3 of Fira Gran Via from February 22-25. The LG X series smartphones will launch in Asia, Europe and Latin America starting next month.
