HTC announced two new smartphones under its U series. HTC U Ultra and U Play listed on the company’s website with no official pricing. But it is likely that the U Ultra will be available for Rs. 59,990 while the small brother will cost Rs. 39,990.
HTC U Ultra
The bigger among the sibling, HTC U Ultra comes with 5.7 inch Quad HD(2560 x 1440 pixels) with Dual Display and Gorrila Glass 5 protection. The smartphone is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM. The built in storage of 64GB is extendable upto 2TB via MicroSD card. Device runs on Android 7.0 with HTC Sense on top of it.
Coming to the camera section, the 12MP ultrapixel rear camera comes with PDAF, Laser focus and OIS features. There is dual-LED flash at the back and it can record 4K videos with 3D Audio, Hi-Res audio. The highlight of the smartphone is 16MP front camera which can record 1080p videos. For selfie it also have Panorama mode.
HTC U Ultra is backed by 3000 mAh battery and comes with all connectivity options. The handset comes with 4 color options.
HTC U Play
HTC U play features smaller 5.2 inch, FHD(1080 x 1920 pixels) display with Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by 64-bit Octa-core MediaTek™ Helio™ P10 processor. Device comes with similar specification as of big brother apart from 16MP primary camera. The rear camera lacks the 4k video recording. HTC U Play is powered by 2500 mAh battery with 15 hrs of talktime.
Both devices will soon hit the shelf of Indian market.
