General Mobile GM5 Plus, Android One phablet for $300

Google announced Android One a year ago, to reach latest Android to all parts of the world. Android One was supposed to be entry level smartphone with Pure Android experience. Till now Android One phone were launched for $100. But now we have GM5 Plus, a $300 phablet device.

General Mobile launched GM5 Plus, a Android One handset for price tag of $300. The price of the device is much higher than what the previous Android One devices. It has now changed the concept of Android One smartphone.

The General Mobile GM5 Plus features 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorrila Glass 4 protection. The screen-to-body ratio of the smartphone is 79%. It is powered by Snapdragon 617 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM. The GM5 Plus comes with 32GB internal storage and MicroSD card support upto 128GB.


General mobile GM5 Plus sports 13 MP rear camera with dual LED flash. Notably it also equipped with 13 MP selfie camera with Flash. The camera is tuned with DxO. The device runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The handset has metal frame and texture back panel.

GM5 Plus is backed by 3100 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick charge 3.0. The device comes with USB type-C port. The device offers 4.5 G LTE support with CAT7 connection. The device will be available internationally in four color options.
