At the CES event in Las Vegas Asus announced two new smartphones, Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom and Zenfone AR. The pricing of the device is not confirmed by the company but the Zenfone AR will be expected to hit the shelf around second quarter this year while the Zenfone 3 Zoom will be available in February.
Asus Zenfone AR
Asus Zenfone AR is the second smartphone which comes with Google’s AR system, Tango. But surprisingly it also comes with Google’s Daydream functionality. Looking at the other specs of the device, it features 5.7-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) Super Amoled display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 821 processor clocked upto 2.35 GHz. The handset is equipped with massive 8GB RAM, also the 6GB RAM variant will be also available.
The Zenfone AR sports splendid dual rear camera of 23MP with f/2.0 aperture and 6P Largan lens. It also have 3X optical zoom or 12X total zoom along with Dual-LED real tone flash. The camera comes with many modes and TriCam System for Tango. The front snapper is of 8MP with f/2.0 aperture and 85˚ wide-viewing angle.
Asus Zenfone AR is backed by 3300 mAh battery with BoostMaster Fast Charging. It runs on Android 7.0. Nougat.
Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom
Zenfone 3 Zoom features 5.5-inch FHD(1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.It is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM. Users get the options of internal storage of 32GB, 64GB or 128GB which is expandable upto 2TB via MicroSD card. Sadly device runs on Android Marshmallow OS.
Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom comes with 12MP dual-rear shooter with Dual-LED real tone flash. The camera features 4-axis, 4 stops Optical Image Stabilization for steady photos. There is a 13MP front Camera with f/2.0 aperture and 5P Largan lens. The device is backed by larger 5000 mAh battery and comes with USB type C port.
