During the CES 2017 event in Las Vegas, Lenovo introduced the new Gaming PCs sub-brand Lenovo Legion with the launch of new Lenovo Legion Y720 and Y520 Laptops. These devices are designed for mainstream and enthusiast players.
Lenovo Legion Y720
Lenovo Legion y720 is the premium one among these two. It comes with the option of 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS or 15.6-inch UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS Anti-Glare display. It is powered by 7th generation intel core (i5 or i7) processor. It is also integrated with the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB graphics cards. That means the laptop is VR Ready. Just plug a VR headset into the HDMI port and you’re set for immersive gaming.
Legion Y720 runs on Windows 10 Home OS and offers upto 16GB DDR4 RAM. It comes with up to 512GB of PCIe SSD storage or 2TB of HDD storage. To add more gaming experience the device comes with 2 X 2W JBL speakers with 3W Subwoofer Dolby Audio Premium.
Legion Y720 also comes with Xbox One Wireless Controller Support and the Thunderbolt 3 port. The Battery can deliver upto 5 hours of usage. The connectivity options include Wifi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 4.1. The laptop comes in the black color option.
Lenovo Legion Y720 Laptop starts at $1,399.99 and available beginning in April 2017.
Lenovo Legion Y520
The Legion Y520 is almost similar in many ways to Y720. It comes with 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare display and powered by latest 7th generation intel processor upto i7. The Y520 comes with NVIDIA GTX 1050/1050GTi or AMD RX-560M graphics.
It comes with 2 x 2W Harman speakers with Dolby Audio Premium. Unlike Y720, it does not have VR ready specifications. It delivers upto 4-hrs of usage.
Lenovo Legion Y520 Laptop starts at $899.99 and will be available from February 2017.
