Have you ever dream to work for Google? Now you can. Not actually, but you can help them to give better translator experience for the peoples which don’t understand English. Google announced second translatathon in India. Translatathon supports nine different Indian languages which includes Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam and Punjabi.
Company also announced that the 50 most active and accurate contributors will get Android One smartphone. Contributors will have the option to either translate phrases directly, or validate existing translations. Contributors can use Google Translate Community on their phone, laptop or computer. The translatathon will up until 30 December.
Barak Turovsky, Product Lead, Google Translate said ” Millions of people in India are coming online for the first time and most of them don’t speak English. Bringing more Indian language content online, and improving Indian language translation quality, will help them have a better experience on the Web.”
