Meizu Pro 5 with Ubuntu launched ahead of MWC

Meizu announce the Ubuntu edition of Meizu Pro 5 smartphone in partnership with Canonical. The smartphone will be the Highest specification Ubuntu phone. It will be showcase during the MWC event and pre-order of the device will also start at the same time. Though company has yet not announced the price of the device.

Users are always at the heart of our work together –something that brings an intuitive and rewarding experience to consumers everywhere.” said Jane Silber, CEO, Canonical.

Meizu Pro 5 features  5.7-inch Full HD(1920×1080) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by Samsung Exynos 7420 Octa-core processor and MALI T760 GPU. The Device comes with 3GB LPDDR4 RAM coupled with 32GB of internal memory.

meizu pro 5 ubuntuMeizu Pro 5 sports 21.16 megapixel rear-facing camera with PDAF phase laser-assisted focusing. Rear camera also features LARGAN 6P lenses for improved resolution. For selfies smartphone has 5 megapixel front-facing camera. The Dual-sim Meizu Pro 5 comes with great Hi-Fi sound system.

Meizu already launched MX4 Ubuntu edition smartphone last year. Now with the launch of Meizu Pro 5, Canonical has launched 5 device in last one year.
