After so many leaks and rumours, Huawei finally launched its much anticipated premium device, Huawei P9. Along with this, company also launched the bigger version named as P9 Plus (which was earlier rumoured as P9 Max).

With the P9, working with Leica, we have challenged the norm of what was possible in lens technology – a game-changer for smartphone photography.”
Huawei P9 features 5.2 inch FHD (1920×1080) display with 2.5D glass and 423 PPI pixel density. It is powered by 64-bit octa-core Kirin 955 chipset clocked upto 2.5GHz.
In the memory you will be having the option of 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM along with 64GB built-in memory. Company also kept the MicroSD card incase of Memory expansion.
The most spotlight feature of the Huawei P9 is it’s camera. The device sports 12MP dual rear camera with Leica certification. The camera features RGB and BW sensors, as well as laser-assisted focus. The aperture is f/2.2 and there is dual LED flash for low light photography.
Device also have the 8MP front shooter for selfies with f/2.4 aperture. Company also noted that there is no camera bump compared to Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6s Plus.
Huawei P9 is powered by 3000 mAh battery which delivers 20 hours of 3G talktime. It also have 3D technology fingerprint sensor at the back. For connectivity it has USB type-C port.
Huawei P9 Plus
The bigger among two, P9 Plus features 5.5 inch FHD (1920×1080) AMOLED display with 2.5D glass and 401 PPI pixel density. It is powered by same processor and pretty similar other specifications too. The display other hand, features ‘Press Touch’ pressure sensitive technology.
Huawei P9 Plus only comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM variant. It is backed by little bigger 3400 mAh battery with fast charging feature. The smartphone also comes with stereo speakers for superb surround sounding.
Both smartphone runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and dual-sim 4G support. For connectivity it includes Wi-Fi 2.4G/5G，a/b/g/n/ac with Wi-Fi Direct support, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. The devices will be available in Ceramic White, Haze Gold, Prestige Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, and Titanium Grey colour options.
The Huawei P9 with 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant has been priced at EUR 599 (roughly Rs. 45,400), while the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant costs EUR 649 (roughly Rs. 49,200). The Huawei P9 Plus will be available for EUR 749 (roughly Rs. 56,800). The smartphone will be available in 29 countries from April 16.
