Google on Wednesday launched its new smartphone and tablet under its Nexus series with the new version Android software “Lollipop”. The US tech giant also announced the launch of a streaming media player for music, movies and videos lovers, which can also allow users to play games via the Android TV device.
Google vice president Sundar Pichai, who heads the Android operations said that “Lollipop” or Android 5.0, the upgraded operating system for mobile, is designed to be flexible, to work on all your devices and to be customized for you the way you see fit,”.
Google partnered with Motorola for Nexus 6,while for Nexus 9 tablet they partnered with HTC. The pre-order for these devices will start from late October.
Coming to the specification of the Nexus 6 comes with 6 inches Quad HD display with Dual front-facing speakers. Google Nexus 6 provides 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor with Adreno 420 GPU. For photography 13 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and 2 megapixel Front-facing camera comes with the phone. 3220mAh Battery gives upto 24 hrs of talk time.You will also get up to 6 hours of use from only 15 minutes of charging. Nexus comes with 32 GB and 64 GB variant.
The other device launched is the Nexus 9 tablet with 8.9 inch screen and front-facing HTC BoomSound™ speakers. Nexus 9 comes with 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor 2.3 GHz and Kepler DX1 GPU.Nexus 9 is featured with 8MP Rear camera with LED Flash and 1.6 MP front camera. Google Nexus 9 is provided with 6700 mAh Battery of Wi-Fi Browsing Up to 9.5 hours.
