Archos international, French smartphone company, shifting the gear with bunch of smartphone launch this month. As MWC event is around the corner, company launched two new handsets, Archos Diamond 2 Plus and Archos Diamond Note 2. The smartphones will showcased during MWC 2016 event in Barcelona.
Archos has already launched bunch of Oxygen tablets and Oxygen 50d smartphone this month. “With this Diamond smartphone, we’ve decided to offer functionalities consistent with consumer demands” says Loïc Poirier, ARCHOS’s CEO. “We want to be first with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB Flash at 250€ ”
Archos Diamond 2 Plus
Diamond 2 Plus features 5.5-inch FHD (1920×1080) IPS display with 2.5D curved edges and 400ppi pixel density. It is powered by 64-bit Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 2 GHz and 1.2 GHz coupled with 4GB RAM. It comes with 64GB internal storage.
Diamond 2 Plus sports 20 MP Sony sensors with dual LED flash. Handset will also have 8 MP front-facing camera with Flash. Device runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow on-board. It also features Fingerprint sensor, fast charging and Micro-USB type-C port.
4G LTE supported Diamond 2 Plus is backed by 3000 mAh battery. The smartphone is priced at $229 and will be available in May this year.
Archos Diamond 2 Note
Archos Diamond 2 Note features 6-inch IPS borderless screen with a 2K screen resolution. It is powered by 2 GHz Helio X10 octo-core processor couple with 3GB RAM. Smartphone also comes with 32GB internal storage. Device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Diamond 2 Note sports 16MP PDAF Fast Focus with dual LED flash. It also features 8 MP front-facing camera with wide angle 84° BSI sensor and F2.2 aperture. The camera is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps. Smartphone supports 4G LTE connectivity.
Archos Diamond 2 Note is backed by 3600 mAh battery with fast charging feature. The smartphone will be available in May at price tag of $279.
