Alcatel launched a new Cyanogen OS-based smartphone in its OneTouch Hero series on Monday at MWC 2015. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ at present is heading to the US and Canada in second quarter at $299 (approximately Rs. 18,300), but global release details are unknown.
The phone is listed to feature a brushed aluminium/ matte metal finish. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ runs Cyanogen OS 11 with single-SIM (Micro-SIM) support. 6-inch smartphone features full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) TFT display. Handset is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592M (Cortex-A7) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The 16GB inbuilt storage on the smartphone can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ smartphone sports 13 MP rear camera with 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options on the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ include 4G LTE Cat. 4, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth Smart 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS and NFC.
The battery on the device is 3100mAh. The smartphone weighs 170 grams and measures 160.5×81.6×7.9mm.
