At CES 2016, Kodak launched the all new Super8 Film-making camera. It’s been 50 years since the Super 8 Film was introduced by the company and now they has introduced Super 8 cameras into the hands of a new generation. Kodak says that it will launch multiple Super 8 cameras.
The Camera is targeted at New generation Film-makers, indie film-makers and art and craft of film-making. Company has showcased the prototype of the new camera. The prototyped features classical Super 8 with digital functionality. Company also announced Super 8 mm films under Kodak Vision3 and Reversal Film. Under the Vision3 company revealed three 8 mm films: 500T/7219 , 50D/7203 , 200T/7213.
On the blog post of Company, “It is an ecosystem for film” said Jeff Clarke, Eastman Kodak Chief Executive Officer. “Following the 50th anniversary of Super 8, company is providing new opportunities to enjoy and appreciate film as a medium.”
The first camera is expected to available in market in the second half of 2016 and should retail for between $400 and $750.
